• ⓘ High-altitude travel requires proper acclimatization. Leh is at approximately 11,400 ft (3,500 m), while the Ulley Valley homestay is around 13,000 ft (4,000 m).
• ⓘ Days 2–4 are intentionally relaxed to allow your body to acclimatize before travelling deeper into the mountains.
• ⓘ Guests should follow the advice of their guide regarding walking pace, hydration, rest and altitude exposure.
• ⓘ Snow leopard tracking involves walking and extended periods of scanning mountain slopes, sometimes in cold and challenging terrain. A reasonable level of physical fitness is recommended.
• ⓘ Weather in Ladakh can change quickly. Bring warm layers, waterproof/windproof clothing, gloves, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and sturdy walking shoes.
• ⓘ Good binoculars and a camera with a suitable telephoto lens are strongly recommended for wildlife viewing.
• ⓘ The Delhi–Leh flights are particularly important to the itinerary; flight schedules can be affected by weather conditions at high altitude.
